The historic Parshallville Cider Mill area is one of the most photogenic spots in all of Livingston County. The old stone bridge, the creek, the rustic mill buildings — it's pure Michigan charm. In fall, the surrounding trees put on an incredible show.

Local Farms & Open Fields

Hartland's countryside is dotted with beautiful farms, horse pastures, and wildflower meadows. If your family has property in the area, shooting on your own land adds a personal connection that studio photos could never capture. Some of my most memorable sessions have happened on Hartland family farms.

The historic downtown area around the Hartland Music Hall has that authentic small-town feel — wooden facades, quiet streets, and great natural light in the late afternoon.

We start with a consultation to plan outfits, locations, and timing. On session day, I guide you through natural poses and movements — no stiffness, no awkward silence. Golden hour sessions are my specialty. Most sessions include 2-3 outfit changes and last about 90 minutes.
