The Editing Process
After your session, I go through every single image from the shoot. A typical full session produces 200–400 raw files, and I cull those down to the best 40–50+ images that make the final gallery. For mini sessions, that's 15+ images from a smaller set.
Every image in your gallery is individually edited by hand. That means color correction, exposure adjustment, skin retouching, and the application of my signature warm editing style. I don't use batch presets or one-click filters — each photo gets personal attention because the lighting and conditions are different in every frame.
The editing process takes time because I don't rush it. Your photos deserve the same care and attention I'd give my own family's portraits. The result is a gallery where every single image is print-ready and polished.
Your Private Gallery
Within 2–3 weeks, you'll receive an email with a link and password to your private online gallery. The gallery is hosted on a professional platform that's designed for viewing, downloading, and ordering — it works on phones, tablets, and computers.
Inside your gallery, you can view every image at full size, mark your favorites with a heart, download individual photos or the entire collection, share specific images with family members, and order prints and products directly through the gallery.
Your gallery stays active for a minimum of 60 days, giving you plenty of time to browse, share, and order. If you need more time, just let me know — I'm happy to extend it.
Downloads & Print Release
Every session includes a full print release, which means you own the rights to print your photos anywhere you'd like — Walgreens, Costco, Shutterfly, a local print shop, wherever. You're not locked into ordering through me, and there are no restrictions on personal use.
Your digital files are high-resolution and print-ready. They'll look gorgeous printed at any size from a 4x6 to a 30x40 canvas. I deliver them in both full resolution for printing and a web-optimized version for social media, so you don't have to resize anything yourself.
One request: if you share on social media, please tag me or credit bella vita photography. It helps other families find me and it means the world to a small business. I'll also share some favorites on my own page with your permission.
Products Worth Ordering
Gallery Wraps (Canvas)
Gallery wraps are my most popular product. The image is printed on museum-quality canvas, stretched over a wooden frame, and arrives ready to hang. The texture and depth of a canvas print is something a flat paper print just can't match. Every client who orders one ends up ordering a second — I'm not exaggerating.
Albums
I design each album by hand using your best images. Lay-flat pages, leather or linen covers, and thick, luxurious paper that feels substantial in your hands. Albums are heirloom pieces — they're the kind of thing your grandkids will flip through someday. They're also the gift that grandparents ask for more than anything else.
Prints & More
Fine art prints, graduation announcements, holiday cards, metal prints, and acrylic blocks — all available through your gallery. Everything is museum-quality and sourced from professional labs, not consumer printers. The color accuracy and longevity are noticeably better than what you'll get from a drugstore or big-box retailer.
Sharing with Family
Your gallery includes a sharing feature that lets you send a link to grandparents, aunts, uncles, and friends. They can view the photos, mark their own favorites, and order prints directly — all without needing your password or login.
This is especially handy around the holidays when everyone wants copies. Instead of fielding requests and sending individual files, just share the gallery link and let them browse and order on their own.
For social media sharing, I'll email you a set of web-optimized files that are perfectly sized for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms. No cropping or resizing needed — just download and post.
Complete Timeline
Here's what to expect after your session, day by day. Within 1–3 days, you'll receive a sneak peek of 2–3 edited images. Within 2–3 weeks, your full private gallery goes live and you'll get an email with your link and password. From there, you can download, share, and order at your own pace.
Print orders placed through the gallery typically ship within 7–10 business days. Albums take a bit longer — 3–4 weeks from approval of the design — because they're handcrafted. Canvas wraps ship within 10–14 business days.
If you need photos on a rush timeline for an event, graduation announcements, or a gift, let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate. I've pulled off some impressive turnarounds when the situation calls for it.
